During SAR Katwijk Dutch Drone Company participated in a demo to show the possibilities drones can offer for Search & Rescue mission. During the demo a drone was used to quickly localise a drowning person and drop a smoke pot and rescue buoy. This way the rescue team could quickly respond and safely bring the person to shore.
